NEWS | Our Environmental Management System has achieved ISO 14001 accreditation

Our EMS has achieved ISO 14001 accreditation

What is ISO 14001?

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard that helps organisations manage their environmental impact. It provides a clear framework for reducing waste, using resources more efficiently, complying with environmental legislation and continually improving environmental performance.

Achieving ISO 14001 accreditation demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to protecting the environment and making more sustainable business decisions.

The 2026 edition builds on this framework, with a stronger focus on environmental protection and business performance. It also makes the standard easier to navigate and reflects today’s environmental challenges and priorities.

Why is ISO 14001 important?

Customers, investors, regulators and supply chains expect organisations like H&F Electrical to show they are committed to working sustainably. ISO 14001 helps organisations achieve these expectations by providing a systematic approach.

Benefits of ISO 14001 for H&F Electrical

  • Consistently improve our environmental performance and measure those improvements.
  • Reduce waste and optimise the way we use energy and resources.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Strengthen our credibility with stakeholders and business partners.
  • Support our participation in global markets and supply chains.

Celebrating Our Achievement

To mark this important achievement, we have partnered with Grown Forest to support the restoration of 5m² of biodiversity through the planting of 25 native Irish woodland trees.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to environmental responsibility, sustainable practices and making a positive contribution to Ireland’s natural environment.

A significant milestone for H&F Electrical and an important step forward in our ongoing environmental journey.
