H&F Electrical Contractors Ltd is proud to announce the successful completion of the full electrical services installation for the new 96 Bed Acute Ward Block at University Hospital Limerick, one of the most significant healthcare expansions delivered in Ireland in recent years.

The seven storey 6,700 m² facility provides 96 single ensuite rooms, including isolation and bariatric rooms, along with clinical support spaces and plant areas. The ward block was constructed directly above an existing live hospital building, requiring meticulous sequencing and continuous coordination to ensure zero disruption to life critical patient services.

H&F delivered full BIM coordination throughout the project, ensuring seamless integration of all electrical systems with both the new and existing hospital infrastructure. All works were completed to the highest HSE and HTM standards, reflecting our strong safety culture and technical excellence.

A comprehensive digital handover was provided at completion, including an as built Revit model to LOD 600, COBie asset tagging, BCAR documentation, and detailed O&M manuals.
