Working in a live hospital environment H&F Electrical were part of the Construction Team that were responsible for the design and construction of a new hospital extension block adjacent to and connected via a new link corridor to an existing functioning hospital. Works within the campus were completed to meet the phasing requirements.
The project includes: 2 Storey Underground Basement c/w 270 car spaces:

1st Floor ICU
2nd Floor HDU
3rd Floor Coronary Care
4th Floor Cardiac Department
5th Floor Plant Room
Single Storey Dialysis Extension
The electrical scope of works included the supply of 10x20KV system feeding the new Build c/w standby generators, UPS back up to critical supplies. Fit out of medical pendants to ICU, CCU & HDU rooms and the complete electrical services installation to the building. All new electrical systems ie FA, EL, Security, Nurse call and Complete upgrade of the existing MV and LV system to accommodate the new building with capacity for future building s was carried out during this project. Extensive interfacing to all existing electrical / protective systems for the hospital were fully co-ordinated with the client, design team, construction team and third party specialists prior to the interfaces being completed. These works were carried out on a live occupied Acute Hospital campus where services remained live and in full working operation.
