H&F Electrical Contractors successfully completed the electrical installation for the
new MRI and Ultrasound Department at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore. The
project involved integrating complex M&E systems with the existing hospital
infrastructure in a live acute campus environment.
Key elements included:
- Installation of electrical systems for the MRI scanner, control room, plant room,
communications room, and five-bay recovery area. - Tie-in of all electrical services to the existing hospital systems, including chilled
water supply for the MRI scanner. - Coordination of significant service diversions and phased construction to
minimise disruption. - Specialist installations, including RF shielding for the MRI room and extensive collaboration with suppliers for equipment commissioning.
The project was delivered on time, meeting all BCAR requirements and demonstrating
H&F’s expertise in delivering high-quality electrical systems for critical healthcare
