This project consisted of a new Ambulance Base within a two-storey building along with
an Ambulance Garage for support Vehicles, shared spaces for Operational duties and
external canopied spaces for Ambulances and Vehicles it is to be located within the existing Merlin Park University Hospital Campus located off the Dublin Road to the East of Galway City.
The new purpose-built facility offers the opportunity to provide efficient access and
egress to the major road networks of Galway City, improving the target response times.
